Joyce and Walky!

First two panels mostly remind me of times I drew these particular things better in Dumbing of Age.   Here, for example, is someone bursting through a pair of double-doors.   (Joyce is bursting through a double pair of doors elsewhere, but it’s not really in the same emotional spectrum.)  And, of course, here is Joyce literally cursing towards the heavens.   I wonder if I could patch together a better-drawn It’s Walky! just using repurposed Dumbing of Age art.

As long as we’re highlighting DoA parallels, Joyce wore this dress specifically early on, as well.   It was always a popular look with readers, and I did a limited print featuring it, seen on the left.
