This strip updated nightly at midnight.  And this strip updated at midnight on September 19, 2004.  That’s the exact minute Maggie Weidner poked me on IRC and asked me out (via pirate-speak, as it was Talk Like A Pirate Day).   Remember when I said I drew her into a strip ‘cuz I was smitten?  Well, whoops, things were mutual.   Things were going to be very different after this!  And I don’t mean just for me.  Like… life stuff influences what you write.  Without her, I don’t think much of anything I’d write or draw after this would have been remotely the same.

She continues to be It’s Walky!‘s biggest fan.  It’s tough to outdo “marry the creator,” after all.
