“Culmination” cleared out a lot of outstanding plot threads and character hooks, which means in the wake of resolving that stuff, I had to look to see where there was fresh soil left to till. Jason’s past, or rather the narrative’s up-to-then complete ambivalence regarding it, was one such area. Time to dig!
