Joyce and Walky!

My wife has singled this strip out before as her favorite strip from her favorite storyline.   It’s why, eight years later, I included this scene in the series of Joyce/Walky flashbacks in the last (non-subscription) strip of Joyce & Walky!.   (obviously there are some spoilers in those flashbacks if you click through and haven’t finished reading this stuff before)  Essentially, in high school I set up some dumb sitcommery flirtation situation with a crush, and obviously it didn’t work out — but my fictionalization of it captured the attention of another girl years later, who I would then marry.  SO EVERYTHING WORKED OUT.
