Joyce and Walky!

The advantage to Joyce and Walky! over It’s Walky $100 Theater is that, well, I wanted to draw domestic strips about Joyce and Walky.  That was something that appealed to me.  I was a lifelong fan of newspaper strips like Arlo and Janis, which is just about a married couple, and also just immediately prior to this, I actually had a girlfriend — and thus a well from which to draw inspiration.  I wanted to be here.
